Food Science Today receives a Qualis classification for the 2021–2024 four-year period

The journal Food Science Today has, for the first time, received a classification in the Qualis CAPES system for the 2021–2024 four-year period, being placed in stratum C.

The journal was classified in multiple fields of knowledge, reflecting its interdisciplinary nature and the diversity of topics it publishes. The areas in which Food Science Today received a Qualis classification were:

  • Food Science (primary area)

  • Biotechnology

  • Biological Sciences I

  • Economics

  • Interdisciplinary

  • Veterinary Medicine

  • Nutrition

Although this is an initial classification, the result represents a significant milestone for the journal, especially considering that it was launched in 2023 and is still in a phase of consolidation.
