Food Science Today announces that, starting January 2026, the Article Processing Charge (APC) for article publication will be updated.

Currently, the APC is BRL 300.00, and does not include extra costs like those from Graphical Abstract production when one is not submitted by the authors.

With the update, the APC will be BRL 400.00, and this amount will cover all editorial processing costs, including:

• Manuscript revision and preparation for publication;

• Creation of the Graphical Abstract, if not provided by the authors;

• Article hosting and indexing in our repositories and partner databases.

• Costs associated with registering DOIs with CrossRef.

This change aims to improve the author experience, ensure greater efficiency in the editorial process, and maintain the visual and scientific quality of our published content.
