This article explores the intersection between mathematics and Afro-Brazilian religiosity, specifically in Umbanda, highlighting the presence of mathematical patterns in rituals and symbols. The objective is to analyze how numerical symbolism, sacred geometry, and divine proportion are used in Umbanda religious practices to create sacred spaces and channel spiritual energies. The methodology adopted is bibliographic research, involving the analysis of relevant national and international sources. The results demonstrate that numbers such as seven hold profound meanings, representing harmony and completeness, while geometric shapes such as circles and squares are essential for the structure of rituals. The divine proportion is applied in ornamental elements, symbolizing balance and beauty. It is concluded that mathematics in Umbanda is not just an abstract tool, but a cultural language that integrates scientific and spiritual knowledge, enriching the understanding of religious practices and highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach.
